Your files
File2File.app converts, compresses and edits files in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never uploaded to the site; you keep all rights to them.
Convert only files you have the right to use and change. You are responsible for your files and for what you do with the results.
File2File.app keeps no copies of your files. Keep your originals until you have checked the results: a file that is lost or damaged on your device cannot be recovered from the site.

File2File.app and its content (the texts, translations, format guides, the catalogue of tools and formats, the way they are selected and arranged, the page design, the code written for the site and the icons drawn for it) are protected by copyright and database rights and belong to File2File.app.
What you may do
You may use the tools free of charge for personal, study or work purposes, use the files you convert as you wish, print a page for your own use, and quote a short extract with a link to the page it comes from.
What you may not do
Without the written permission of File2File.app you may not copy, republish, sell or distribute the site’s content or a substantial part of it; scrape, crawl or download pages or data files in bulk with automated tools (search engines indexing the site are welcome); mirror or frame the site; use the content to build a competing database or service or to train machine-learning models; remove or alter credits, licence notices or this notice; or try to disrupt or overload the site.
Content of others
Some tools run open-source software, which remains under its own licence: for example libheif (LGPL-3.0) for HEIC images, LibRaw (LGPL-2.1 or CDDL-1.0) for camera RAW files, 7-Zip (LGPL-2.1, with the unRAR restriction) for archives, Little CMS (MIT), PDF.js (Apache 2.0) and Tesseract (Apache 2.0) for text recognition. Their licence texts are published with the site, and the third-party notices linked below say where to find them and their source code.
File format names and product names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify the formats; File2File.app is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

The service
The site and the tools are provided as they are, without any warranty. There is no guarantee that every conversion will succeed or be exact, that damaged or unusual files can be opened, or that the site will always be available and free of errors. Check the results before you rely on them.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, neither File2File.app nor its operator is liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site, including lost or damaged files. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms may change. The version on this page applies, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
